Can I remove all the spacers on my front castor wheels and have metal to metal for the shortest cut possible? Will that hurt the castors in any way?

The spacers are metal too, so you always have "metal to metal". You can put all of the spacers up top to get the lowest height. It is probably best to leave the one 1\8" thick washer on the bottom though, although I have not done that at times before. I have lowered the front casters all the way many times without any known problems. That's why its designed with changeable spacers. Go for it (unless someone, or Wright, posts a better answer as to why one shouldn't).

sheppard- Actually it would be bronze(bushing) to paint unless the paint wears off. Anyways it would be OK to do that. The washer is intended to be right under the linch pin so that the linch pin doesn't drop into the slot of the top "C" spacer and allow the bottom spacers to bounce out. Since you wouldn't be using a bottom "C" spacer it should be ok to use the washer on bottom for a slight change in height but not needed for wear.
