Just started in irrigation Maint. / repair. 2 weeks ago sent a letter to 1/2 of my customers and have 8 scheduled or completed jobs. I am getting ready to send to the other 1/2 next week. I have been planning this for a few months but I took all your advise and tried to learn as much as i could before jumping in. I'm sure I will be asking for some advise / help from you expierienced ones here in the near future. Actually I have one.

A customer has a irritrol RD600 with a face plate fried. My sales man says it will be about the same price and to just install a new hunter controller. Any other thoughts or ????

Thanks for all the great reading on this sight.

Most residential controllers are disposable and not worth repairing. Replace with Hunter or Rainbird and all will be good.

On the other hand, you should be able to replace like with like, and program any controller.
