I had to replace the carb on my Redmax bcz3001s trimmer. Now every time I start it I have to leave the choke on about 3/4 for a few minutes until it warms up. It is sluggish when doing this too. My old carb was not like this at all. One pull and you were ready to go and it was very responsive.
Is there any way to help this or is this the way it is? Should I take the carb back and see if they will give me a new one?
Thanks!

There are a few reason it would act like that. When you replace the carb, did you replace the gaskets ? The spacer between the carb and the cylinder could have warped. Take some carb cleaner with the little straw and while the trimmer is running, spray the carb cleaner around the carb and the spacer and see if you have a change of power, if you do, then you have an air leak.

I'll check it out. Thanks for the info.
