Had an offer to trade a set a tires for this brush grapple. Was told it was 84" and barely used and been sitting for 8 months.

Would be trading set of Bobcat 14-17 tires and severe duty rims (brand new). they are valued at $3400 at the dealer.
I can't get that on the street so I was asking for a trade value of about $2500. Any thoughts?

That grapple doesn't look very strong.

What do you need that for you have the best brush bailing machine now ie the mini excavator

I have a grapple like that from quick attach... it for loading debris into trucks/dumsters sifting dirt, moving rocks using the toothed bucket to rip up concrete/asphalt/sod it has been a wonderful addition to my tools. I can crush a full size fridge with no problems...I paid 3200 new plus shipping.

the weak point on these guys I believe is the long length of hoses. it very easy (so my employees say) to forget to unhook the hoses and pull away from the bucket when changing tools.... hoses are fine, the the distribution box onthe attachment is toast. usually about 150 bucks each....

I'm thinking it will be too wide for me. I only have a 72" wide machine and the ebay comps show it's only worth about 1900 new.

mine is wider than my loader as well. but I've never had any problems or issues..

One of mine is wider and the other is same width. If I had to do it again I would have gotten the second one wider as well. With brush and trees combined with the ROC of your 330 I think you would want something wider and you have the machine to support a bigger bucket. It keeps debris from the machine, more productive as you can grab more. What I like about the one shown is the enclosed hyd. rams. I have sheared more hoses than I care to count due to debris shearing off the hyd. connectors at the ram. It looks like a well designed bucket. Some of the those on E-Bay don't seem as well designed as this one is.

the quick attach pistons are shielded as well...

all of our debris is loaded into 20-30yd dumpsters it so nice not having have the guys do it by hand or with a smooth bucket as crap falls out.

I have this one from Quick Attach:

I got the covers over the rams, it was optional as I recall.

I have this one from Virnig
http://www.virnigmfg.com/products.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=9&category_id=1

The scrap grapple prior to the Virnig purchase was not protected, and gave me all the problems. One of them I tore the bottom out of wrenching on a stump. It pays to get a well built grapple, especially if you have a sizeable machine on it.

I like the grapple with the smaller opening. better for sifting. and still bing able to picking up loose litter like leaves/grass and such that are piled for the dumpster. nice thing about the grapple with the small opening is that you can use it load mulch as well so you don't have to switch back and forth bewteen buckets

i do NOT like that style of grapple I prefer the Eagle Talon from Quick Attach...MUCH more heavy duty....had ours for years and have beat the clear heck outta it with the RC100 and it will NOT bend or break...
