Hey, my brothers, let's have some fun.
As far as the client is concerned, what are the different grass types?
1) Green grass
2) Blue grass
3) Brown grass
4) Crabgrass.............................even the dreaded winter strain.
5) Dead grass
6) No grass
7) Junky grass...........................also refered to as shi* grass
8) Sod grass
Hmmmmmmm, did I forget any?

Moss grass... Most often seen on lawns with expensive new UGS's where they water for at least 2-3 hours every day no matter what!

Crackgrass. Also known as: sidewalk grass, asphalt grass or concrete grass.
Of coarse there is also the ubiquitous planter grass; sometimes known as flower-bed grass or shrub grass.

Oh and how could I have forgot cl/tg grass. You know the stuff; it's never a consistant color, never grows at a consistant rate across the same lawn, it aways shoots up right after an application, but seems to run out of juice just two weeks later. It always looks better in the advertisements than in person.

If the lawn is green on the other side of the fence then you must be standing on cl/tg grass.

You guys don't have water grass? aka Tall fescue or crabgrass, have also seen tall fescue called crabgrass (dreaded winter variety).
