I am pretty good at establishing fixed prices for mow/trim blow jobs. I am curious what the going rate for landscape labor is. I get asked to do planting, weeding, and various other landscaping labor oriented tasks. I can price the materials and add for profit and overhead and equipment charges for things like a skid steer but am unsure what the going hourly rate for bidding this kind of work is. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any diff between bidding landscape and hardscape work (ie, patios, walls, that sort of stuff?)

it depends on your crew and what equipment you will be using. you have to cover your overhead and make enought $$ to make it worth your time to do the job

You really have to bid by the job and not the hour.

GREAT advice,

we charge around 120 to 125 an hour, that's 2 men 2 ZTR's and such.

now actual working time does NOT come out to that.....

that includes driving time. clean up and the entire ball of wax.
