View Full Version : Shindiawa T270 vs. Shihl FS85 Trimmer

Going to be buying one or the other of these soon. Can anyone that has owned both comment on them? From what I have gathered, both are fine trimmers but I am really interested in the one that feeds line the best.

the stihl head is much better than the shindiawa, so if thats your biggest concern just have the dealer switch out the shindiawa head with a stihl head and get a T270. That is what I do, the shindiawa heads are junk. My dealer dosen't charge me anything extra to make the switch.

Thanks for the response. So is this what you do? Buy a Shindaiwa and put a Shihl head on it?

Yup. The 270 is a great trimmer.

I like the feel and balance of the Stihl. Mine have all been good trimmers and plenty of power.
