Hello everybody,:waving:

I demoed the Super Z 60" with the 31 HP Kawasaki the other day, for a whole day. Awesome machine but I found it too "bulky" for me and I don't need to go 15 miles per hour.
I also cut with my buddy's new FasTrak the other day. It has the 21 hp Kawa with the 54" cut. I was on it for about 30 minutes. After getting off of it, thats what made me decide to take a look at the Hustler brand.

I am looking at the Hustler Z 60" and the new Z4 60". If I go with Hustler, these are the 2 models I am deciding between. I like the size of the Z4, but think it is priced too high because it don't have the XR-7 deck...I am curious and have some questions.

1) Is the 25 hp Kawasaki is enough engine for the Hustler Z 60, or should I go with the 29 HP Kawa ??

2) How many trouble free hours should I expect out of a Hustler mower, with performing the proper care and maintenance right at, or before, the recommended service intervals (changing fluids, filters, sharpening the blades, greasing machine, etc...)? I take Great Pride in taking care of and doing the "up-keep" on my equipment.

3) Do ya'll think the Z4 is really worth the money, compared to the regular Hustler Z ?

If I buy Hustler, I would want the steering extension kit, the best seat and suspension made for that particular model, the mulch kit, and the light kit. I do not think I would want the flex forks because of the scalping issues I've heard about.

Along with stopping by the local dealer about 3 times a week, I have been talking to Pj through many e-mails. He has been very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I just wanna say "Thank You" for putting up with me and all my questions that I've had. I sure hope I haven't aggravated you too much. Its just that I am fixing to spend a lot of money and have to make damn sure I know what I'm getting into. I will either be buying a Hustler or Exmark within the next 6 days from today, and I'm kinda leaning alittle more towards the Hustler brand...Either way I go, Thanks again, Pj.:)

1) 25 works for sure... but the 29 is sweet for the power and will power through the grass type your dealing with much better
2) Thats a loaded question... I have seen units go thousands (I just looked at a unit in Florida recently at a dealer that had 3000 hours on it and still running strong) of hours without major issues...
3) The Z-4 is worth the money for sure, it is a very nimble unit and handles like a dream, just like our full framed units.

You can order your Z-4 unit with a suspension seat from the factory, the Hustler Z you will have to add it at the dealer level or yourself, as we dont offer it from the factory with the suspension seat.
Regardless of which unit you go with they will both be great for you, they are both proven decks and units.
