I have a friend that has the new 09 48 inch cut fastrack

while I was having my machine serviced,,,he let me use his mower it has the 19hp koler engine,,,48 inch cut, while using it I noticed there was banging noise coming from the cockpit where your feet go,,sounds like metal hitting metal we have looked under and around and above the deck but can't see where the noise is coming from,,,:confused: can u help us on this matter ?

I would have to see it to hear it, but check a couple things, belt tension, deck covers, front caster wheels for play up and down in the tube they mount into.. etc..
If you cant pin point it then I would take it to the dealer to get it take care of.

Sounds like a possible deck pin and rod assembly. It's what ataches the front of the deck to the mower.

He carried the fast-trac to a dealership they found some bolts that have came loose,,they almost fell out,,, lock washer were installed,on top of the flat washer's,,,that banging noise,,was driving him crazy,,,the floor board had almost fell off,,,duh !!!it really had him worried but every seems to be okay now thank gosh for that,,, thank u for your help on this issue
