Anybody have what? A gate for their trailer? Mine is made out of expanded metal with an angle iron frame. It's got 2 pieces of hollow pipe welded on the end of it for the hinges. On the trailer, there's 2 pieces of sucker rod that slide into the pipe. This makes the hinge. Once the gate is up, it has a latch on each side to hold it shut.

Mine is a C&M, not a Big Tex, but yes. I think it's fine. It's big enough to hold 2 big zero turns plus all your other equipment. I've had a couple 16's and a 20'. I like my 16' better than any of them. I can back mine into the garage everynight and don't have to unload anything. I can shut the overhead door in the Winter and still have plenty of room to walk around it and tinker. Just make sure you get one at least 82" wide. The 76" ones are a pain when/if you ever haul a 72" mower. You've got a few inches on each side and that's it. With an 82"x16' you've got a little more room. I know, because the first 16' I bought was a 76" wide. The one I have now is 82".

Be sure to check the paint on the angles inside next to the wood. The work trailer had none there. It looked like it was painted after being all put together.
