Do you guys use SAMS or any other sprinkler heads that incorporate a check valve on all heads on the system or just on the lower elevations of the system? This is clearly a money saving question.

We use all SAMs, period. Low drainage has a habit of climbing up the laterals as SAMs are installed. If you're in a freeze area, they must be compressor-winterized.

My guys are well trained in where to use SAM's. We only use them in low areas, most always all the heads along a curb.
I am seriously thinking of switching to all 5000 & 1800 SAM-PRS's after the current inventory is depleted.

It certainly couldnt hurt. Just up your product cost to the customer and all is well.
Only SAM here. PRS on many.

It eliminates call backs after installs which cost time and money. I recently switched to all I-20s and 5000 Plus Sam no more call backs for this and replacing heads.

Also get a stronger spring in those sams. Less chance of a head hanging up. I'd do all sams not just the low ones myself but it ain't a hard rule with me.

I use all heads with checks. The price diff was only about $1 per for SAM 5000. not enough to matter.
