I have zone 1 valve won't control from controller. It is the 1st zone of the manifold, and the other zones operate fine. I have tested the voltage to the valve (28 volts). I have replaced the solenoid, opened the valve body & checked the diaphram for debris - No luck. I have changed out the old non-weather proof wire nuts w/silicon filled wire nuts securing the wires tight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes I think this forum is more like a game show:::::"for a can of glue & primer, what is this guy's problem?" "O.K., for the big prize"," I think it could be electrical, the easy test of that would be to switch the hot wire to a spare (you hope exists), that would prove electrics." "Why the hell was the diaphragm not changed-out".

This is an existing valve. I was called to add 2 more zones to there existing system. When I left the job, all was working great. I am committed to fixing it, so I will try replacing the diaphram. I did run spare wires on my addition I'll test that as well.

what drives me nuts about this forum is the professionals end up posting to the "internet fishers". Especially this season i've noticed a lot of threads/posts by homeowners and lawn jockeys trying to fix problems themselves. While i'm not against sharing information, there is something that tells me I should not be sharing my experience to someone for free.
That said, can we lobby for another forum that differenciates the "help desk" from professional discussion? It just seems like all those threads are the same. (I turned all all those things in that green box because it said on top to open them... and now nothing works, WTF?)
In closing, things are slow, it rains every other day, and my golf game has gone to SHI_. i'm in a pissy mood.
