Far exceeded my expectations of growth this year.

Very happy with growth and upsells.

I think the Democrats and Media are the only ones in a recession...but I know lawncare isn't! :cool2:

I will probably grow about 5-7%. I have had to work very hard to do that. Lot of cancellations due to layoffs. Talked to one vendor who said the industry was down 10%. I could be flat if one customer decides not to do anything this fall (40 acres).

Well hopefully things pick up for you! One good thing fert is down.

40 acre account just canceled. I called today and he said they are cutting everything. What a kick. I landed a couple nice accounts this spring so I will probably be even with last year. But I hate losing an account like that. I am sure they will be back when the economy turns. I am thinking 2012.

Lost another one today. A realtor. The Real Estate market's in a slump and she's cutting back. Between 401K's taking a beating, Layoffs, Forced leave without pay plus all of the standard reasons for canceling, I'll be down for the year. SUX... They're telling me they'll be back when things turn around...I sure hope so.

P.S. Accounts Receivables/Collections have been slow and tiring.

I have to say I'm a little surprised that we are not doing a whole lot worse. Things are pretty bad here in Michigan for some people and some businesses. We took some good hits this spring on commercial work ( auto related stuff ) residential work too had us losing some long time customers do to layoffs etc... I really thought we would be in trouble but so far it has not happened. We should be up $$$$ for 2009. New sales have been good. Up sells and new services have also increased our sales. Actual customer growth will be up slightly and new cancels are few at this time. To be honest, I think we just got lucky. I did raise prices for 2009. I also tried to up sell more to our existing customers. No new equipment this year and cutting out whatever fluff I could to help our bottom line. I did buy a new Cadillac for the Mrs. yesterday. She's having a good year. Can't remember her having a bad year!
