I need to know if I need to be licensed in NY for organic fertilizer? I have 3 or 4 customers with dogs that want organic fertilzing due to there internet research.

Ask the governmental division in NY that is in charge of enforcing the laws... they should know... IE call your local ag extension office...

I do notthink you need to be licensed in NY to fertilize
You do if you apply things that kill weeds or pests
Although you can have a pest management program and not be licensed. The laws get very percise about what you are claiming or selling to the customer
Our compost tea product is licensed as a fertilizer in New York so you can claim that you are fertilizing, if you make your own teas and they are not registered in New York as a fertilizer you cannot claim a fertilizer program
You would be breaking the law, selling a fertilization program with a fertilizer that was not registered in the state. You can say that your are amending the soil
It gets crazy and silly sometimes
