hell he ripped the tailgate off, bent the bed all to hell, then got the dozer over to finish it off!

All het had to do was dump all the dirt he could get out, lower the bed and place the bucket of the cat inside the bed up against the front and push. It would have came out, I've done it several times when hauling mud out of ponds, the trucks always get stuck!

The driver shouldn't have backed into the soft stuff.

The truck is a old Ford it looks like it has the light rear axles and 8v71 power.

Here in B.C. we use a 16'6 box and the most you can get into a West Coast box is 18 tons of material its spilling over the sides.

You really don't want to push on the tailgate the best way is the bucket in the box up against the hoist dog house.

Kinda wonder if they are going to bring up that little incident in their next safety meeting. With brilliance like that on those machines, imagine what their quality of work is like....

couldn't the excavator operator have just dug out around the back of the truck so the dirt would not have been up around the wheels? That seems like it would have been better than tearing the truck up.

I really hate people with mechanical thumbs, too damned lazy to put them back up, and then they rant and rave about how handy they are to have them, and just never put them back up!!!!!

Oh and that was kinda lame with the truck getting stuck and all......

That is how Ron treats his buddies from Surrey if the dirt doesn't come out rip the tailgate off

That is really stupid. The comments suggest that they were replacing the box. Even so, the box had value. No doubt the clutch on the truck will need replacing. All because someone was to lazy to get a chain and pull the truck out. Unreal.

Anyone notice the end?
He goes through all the trouble with the Excavator and then just pushes it out with the Dozer! :wall:

ya it was pretty easy it seemed with the dozer. If he would have been thinking he could have pushed it out and saved the truck. I thought maybe if he would have dug around the trucks tires with the excavator he could have maybe put something down and got some traction to get out of the hole.

I don't think there was any traction problems the truck was mired in dirt it couldn't move. I'am surprised they didn't blow a axle but as KSSS said the clutch is probably done for.

Excavator guy shoulda hooked to the front bumper, or the back of the cab, while the bed was up, Duh, everybody knows that!:laugh::drinkup:

I honestly believed when the box was up the excavator was gonna roll around the front and grab the back of the cab and pull, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised.:hammerhead:
