Just thought I'd give this a try.
looking for a trailer to start with. i don't have a specific one in mind and have just been looking around. only real requirements are that it needs to get me started (reliable), fit my gear on it (not much at the moment just starting), and it needs to fit in budget (i have a few more things i need to pick up so im not looking to rip someone off but i probably cant afford something 16 long or new).
Thanks~

was looking for something smaller to start probably.
Didn't really want to spend more then 1000 on a trailer.

Greg;
Bare in mind, as you shop for your first trailer, that trailers are never really big enough. While you may be able to get all you equipment on a 5x8 (at the moment) if you ever plan on getting a 61" mower (for example) just save your money a buy a 6x12 or 6x14 when you can afford it. Just my $0.02 worth, I hope it helps.

CutApproved, sounds like a nice one i'll have to get back to you on that one tho, Thanks very much though for reply.
GraZHopA, That is probably very good advice thanks, i don't plan to start till next year (season) so perhaps that is a better plan, not sure how i feel about driving with a 16 foot trailer hrm... will be a learning experience lol. Haven't ever pulled anything that long before. Thanks again!
greenmonster304, sounds cheaper for one that size, where are you exactly and do you have pictures of it? Is there anything wrong with it or does it need some touch up work? etc? Thanks
Thanks for replys! :)

it is in Hampton bays ny and you could paint it but it is presentable the guy is moving and he doesn't have a vehicle to tow the trailer with anymore so he just wants it gone. I have borrowed it a few times and it is a nice little trailer worth every penny.

greenmonster304, are you sure its a 16"? do you know the actual weight of the trailer and its GVWR? Brakes on trailer or no? If its in good shape it sounds like a deal i'm gonna be honest though i'm not totally sure i wanna (or can) haul something that large.
CutApproved, Whats the actual weight on the trailer? Lights and all work? Brakes on it? Have any pictures?

singel axels dont need breaks in NY the largest i've seen is 14 once you go to 16 it usually is a dual axel

Yea actually i am surprised to see a single axle 16" but was not aware about the brakes still learning some. The really small ones 5x8 and such i know didn't have but that's about it. Thanks

it might be 14 I am not sure I will call him tomorrow and find out. But I know it doesn't have brakes. I towed it with my Tacoma and it did it with ease so I am sure what eve vehicle you have could tow it

cool,
let me know if you can find out what size it actually is and its physical weight and GVWR. If you have any pictures or maybe if not i can try to see if maybe i can come take a look at it. But i would like to know the specs if you have them.
Thanks again.

Mostsingel axels are 3500 axels and trailer is probally around 800 pounds or so you are good for a rider and walk behind blowers and wackers all just an educated guess based upon my open trailer that one sounds like a good deal Posted via Mobile Device
