I just moved to a house where half the front lawn is zoysia grass. Living in the hills of Connecticut, half the lawn is hay yellow for 6+ months out of the year and I hate it. After doing research online, most people said how difficult it was to get rid of and recommended using Roundup when the lawn is most healthy.
I applied the Roundup about a week ago and the grass appears to be dieing. I'm aware that I should do more applications. My question is, whats the process to reseed when the zoysia is dead in a few weeks? It seems like everyone has different advice and its quite confusing.
Will the grass be dead enough just to rake up? Do I need to get a thatcher, aerator, tiller, or verticutter? Thanks for your help.
