I just bought a new Exmark Navigator after 3 hr of mowing she would quit running like someone shut it off with the key . At first we thought it was the coil then that was eliminated, the spark Advance that was also eliminated
the boys at the shop are trying to figure it out dose any one have a clue here that might be causing it to over heat. the engine is a kohler CH 20.

Is the unit cranking over but not starting or not cranking @ all? Does it start back once its cooled off or has it not restarted since this episode.

What do you mean by "over heat" is this what the shop told you was happening? Overheating and just flat out shutting down are 2 different things.

yes it runs but once it shuts down it's all over for about 2-3 hours. yes once it's cooled off it will run. the shop told me that it is a overheating problem.

Any way you can post the exact model and spec# for your Kohler?

the problem is solved it turns out to be a vacuum plate leak and this
turned out to be a kohler recall of the plate this plate makes the fuel pump
work . all in all it turns out that it was running out of gas due to vacuum plate leak that make the fuel pump work.
