I know that fall is probably the best time to fertilize, but what about now at the end of summer? My lawn didn't do great over the summer and I want to start revitalizing it.
Dog urine contains nitrogen and in most cases with larger dogs it would burn the grass. However, we have two little chihuahua's that mark on the lawn with minimal amounts of pee and everywhere they do it there is a circle of the greenest, lushest grass I have ever seen lol.
I'm guessing my lawn is in serious need of nutrients. What ratio would be best at this time of year? I'm not sure exactly what kind of grass I have, but it is a cool season grass as I live in Toronto where we only have 3 months of real summer.
