Homeowner - Looking to replace my string trimmer with the following Husqvarna 128LD trimmer from Lowes for $199.00: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=108499-86886-952711953&lpage=none
Wanted to get a trimmer so that I can add the attachments to it.
Is this a good trimmer for an homeowner?
Is this a good price for a trimmer or can I get something better with similar capabilities for the same price?
Thanks.
OJ

Yes, it is a good one. The price is good enough. You can buy extended warrantee also. From my experience with extended warrante from big company, they honor the warrantee much better than the small dealers which a lot of time try to tell you that it's your fault, old gas etc. Big store usually don't do that.

Some guys may hate it because it is from Lowes. I like Echo trimmers myself, but that trimmer looks fine for homeowner use. Check out the prices for the attachments you are planning on buying for that trimmer. Then check out a Stihl or Echo dealer and compare pricepoints for the same ones. If the Husky attachments are alot cheaper I would get it.

Will any brand attachment work with this trimmer? If I buy a Troy-Bilt brand edger attachment, could I hook it up to the Husqvarna and it will still work?
Thanks for all the replies.
