Find a irrigation supply house like Ewing, Horizion, or John Deere Landscapes and get yourself a Rain Dial easy peasy to install and operate. Don't buy the junk at HD

It would be a whole lot easier if you could tell us the brand name of the controller...
Rainbird, Hunter, Toro, Orbit...?
From there you can probably go to the mfg'ers web site and download a manual...
Otherwise why replace it, unless it doesn't work...?

Made in china huh.
First I recommend one of these:

12 pounder is highly recommended as it will put the box thru whatever wall its mounted.
Then you will need one of these:

This will take care of all your lawn woes, fix it up real nice like.
Preferably male with a long beard, as he likes to urinate on it to attract hotties.
Then about that box, call these guys to come get it after you use item one:

I haven't seen one of those in 20 years! I think it was sold under a different name back then but I don't remember who. My initial suggestion remains.

Rain Dial ain't much better than what you get at the big box.
Buy a real controller, preferably a smart one, and be done with it.

Oh, it is an Orbit control box.
That's the brand name, the Orbit corporation is who made it.
Didn't I say it was one of either Toro, Rainbird, Orbit or Hunter? :p
It probably still works, those are the big four irrigation system manufacturers I've ever run across in 8 years.
You go to Home Depot you're just buying another Orbit...
Why, because that's what Home Depot carries, is Orbit stuff.
Rainbird, I think Lowe's carries that, but again WHY?
Check it out, I'd be willing to bet that Orbit thing of yours still works good and it's already installed!
And then it falls under the Watermaster line of products, model 57606.
Here's your manual:
http://www.wetearth.com.au/Library/File/OrbitControlStarIndoorOutdoor.pdf
Yesss...
Look, every control box it's this same BS, even if you buy a new one, you still have to familiarize yourself with it.
So I'm afraid you're going to have to read through it a bit LOL
The manual is in PDF format...
You can probably print it out, then take that printed out manual into your garage, might make things a whole lot easier.
It's not that bad, takes 15-20 minutes, maybe 1/2 hour you'll be in happy irrigation city.
Let us know if you encounter further problems.
