Post this in the water forum some guys make bubblers out of boulders and core drill them or do a search i'm pretty sure i've read a thread or two about this.

I would use a electric core on a stand, if I was smart I would pay the supply yard to do it. Cheaper in the short run.

Yep! our larger supplier charges $50 per hole up to a 2ft depth.
