I have a Toro walk behind that I'm working on and I'm fixing to put a new filter and change the oil.

It says that the mobilube 424 is like hydraulic fluid. Could I just use the 15W50 like in my Z instead? I did a search and didn't not find a good answer.

The wheel motors are Parker Ross and the pumps are Hydro gear.

Your 15W50 will be just fine, That's the same combo Dixie's use and run the 15W50.....

I'm going to assume it is the Mobile 1 15W50 (synthetic)?

424 was not a synthetic oil.

I know it hydraulic

My Lazer z has the same pump names and it uses 15w50

It's not recommended to mix synthetic and conventional. Never tried it myself. I take the oil manufacturer advice. That's your choice I guess

Well, I won't be mixing it. Everything will be drained properly then added with the synthetic. I'm working on the wheel pumps, so all the fluid from everything else will be churned out. I guess you could say, running a new fluid through the whole system.
