Hydro overheating

I have a Mini Fastrak 15/36 and the left hydro stopped working today. Once it cooled off, it worked fine again, so I figured it was too hot. Later on, I popped up the seat to take a look and the plastic cooling fan had all of the blades sheared off. I don't know how it happened, but it must have been a while ago. Since the fan wasn't doing any cooling, I figured that it caused my problems.

The local dealer had to order a new fan, so I am wondering if 2 overheating incidents will cause that much damage to the hydro? Should I drain the oil and change it to be on the safe side? I am hoping it won't fail for a while because they are very expensive at $600 each through the dealer.

Also, if the hydro is bad, will the warranty still cover it? I bought it in March 2007.

Your dealer can tell once he gets it together how hydros are doing.
Is this being used commercially?
As to warranty, this again is going to be your dealers call, he is the one looking at and working on the mower.
