I know most guys don't like liquid fertilizer. We are moving from granual to liquid because you dont need to refill spreaders. Its much less work.

The pricing I was quoted from a big fertilizer supplier is as follows, averaging $160 per acre. Which is too expensive for my liking.

25lb fz 16.32.16 soluble: $44
25lb fz 20.20.20 soluble: $49

1. Were should i go to buy inexpensive liquid fertilizer?

2. What does liquid fert run you per acre?

I buy 46-0-0 and 0-0-62 soluble for a lot less than that. Liquid fert is going to cost way more anywhere you get it. I'm not using K now because it's too expensive. I am adding Fe (12-0-0 + micros). P is not needed unless seeding or soding. That costs me about $50/acre.

I use all liquids. Mine are based on 21-0-0 or 46-0-0 depending on the soil test, potassium nitrate and micronutrients. $49 for a 25 lb bag of 20-20-20 sounds right. I do not routinely apply that unless soil or tissue testing indicates a need for P. If you leave P out of a mix it is less costly. Why apply what is not needed?

How does $59.95 for 90/K sound?
