I have a Kohler command 25 on a scag that I just purchased used. I am looking for help on the valve adjustment procedure and clearance specs. The Model # is CH25S. Spec# 68579. Serial # is 2730415097. Any help you guys can provide would be much appreciated!

There is no adjustment on the Command. Is it
running poorly?

When going up a hill it sounds like it is missing or popping a little and is down on power. On the flats it is ok but it kind of sounds like the where the exhaust attaches to the engine there is a leak or a hole in the exhaust somewhere. It ran fine actually until I put some magnum mulching blades on. Coincidence? or do you think those mulch blades are dragging down the power?

As far as running rough on an incline, it could just
be a layer of water in the bottom of the carb. If
it sounds like you have a gasket leak, you probably
do. Do not run it too long as it will just cost
more money if you wait.

Thanks Fish. I pulled off the muffler tonight and cleaned everything up and put it back together with some high temp silicone. Waiting til tomorrow for the silicone to dry before starting it. I am wondering now if the missing was just from the fuel being too low of fuel in the tank. I will find out tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
