I understand Sealmaster has alot of room to negotiate with the sealcoating equipment.
Share your pricing, what did you pay? how much did you get them down?
Im looking at the TR 575 trailer unit that lists for $11,900. So far I have them down to $10,900.

this is the end of the season , they will drop prices as not to sit on inventory , and generate cash flow . things have changed its not what they are asking , its what you are willing to pay .

They (SM) are notorious for pricing their equipment high so they can offer big discounts. However there's SO many good sealcoating rigs out there "like new" right now because the economy has been so bad. No way I would buy a new one. I have seen a half-dozen Seal-Rite's (better quality than SM) like 550's-700's advertised as "used 10 times" or "just like new" 2009 models and lots more 2007-2008 models of all different brands. This year killed off a LOT of sealcoaters who were used to "easy money" when times got tough so the market is saturated with used equipment. If you are determined to buy new be sure to get the "Maxi-Air" SealMaster-the regular ones are undersized. And buying anything new is a total buyer's market. There's such a glut of used stuff out there new sales are down to almost nothing.
Example, from one classified Truck, seal unit, crack melters, blowers-all for a couple g's more than you are looking at (http://www.pavementpro.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/8789/post/new/#NEW) a GREAT deal on a 550 w/truck for $8,500 just sold yesterday...
