Nice trucks!
Why did you choose a metal floor trailer, I've always disliked them because you put a bucket on them and they slide all over like there on ice..

This will be my first steel deck floor. Gonna try it out, if it is slippery Ill Rhino it, like I do everything else lol. I was just sick of replacing the wood floors every few years.

Nice Nice... gotta love the Fords! Noticed that you upgraded the 06' mirrors to the 08' model! that must have been a little salty??? Think I was told one time that it was like $600 or so??? sure looks good tho!
How do you like your wells cargo? I've been looking between wells and a Pace, but can't decide... How bout some pics of the Wrights! Standers I persume?!?!?!?
I agree with Micah (Redmax Man)... very clean... and very professional and educated
sounding... even kinda sounds funny... well us saying that. Everything looks great, I'll be looking for more to come!

Badass man! I love it. I am looking forward to the day of getting my second set of everything so that I can give what I have now to a second crew. Where did you get the poly half fenders for the 550? I need some for this winters plowing and can only find SS and aluminum.

All looks very good, very professional. I was also wondering why not 12 foot stake body's, the ones you have look like 8 ft. contractors dump? There is a company in my area that has the same dump body as you and they have 8 of them i think. Not putting them down just wondering why. thanks

The upgrade wasn't terrible. I have a friend lol. I looked a trailers and researched for ever. My final decision was the Wells due to the dealer service, and since I have seen brickman, acres, etc using them for 10-15 years at a time when they have employees that dont care, I figured mine would last until I die. The trailer was expensive tho ..... out the door with that just over $8200.00
I will try to take some pictures of the inside of the Wells Setup and yes of coarse wright standers it is.
Everything gets washed every other Saturday by two of my laborers. Trucks, Trailers, Mowers, and even the handhelds. Takes two guys about 8hrs.

I got them from AutoTruck Group, the company that built my trucks. I will look into the make/model and get back to you. Send me a pm to remind me. I want to say they run about $550 installed but you can install them yourself if you have a big enough drill lol

why stake bodys?
They both work, its just personal preference. Imo, the stake bodys are uglier than sin..
The dumps are fold down sides, the steel angle is only held on by a pin, they remove the pin, the side and then fold down the body. Plus I like the look of these dumps better.
The 6.4s are nice, quiet, strong, but suck the fuel. F450 - 6.5mpg, F550 - 6.1mpg, and the new F350 (Black) - 11.5mpg. The 6.0L gets about 13-14mpg. I like them, the earliest motor I got had a few re-programming issues and I dropped the trans in that truck at 5,600 miles (F450). Other than that I like them, easy to maintain but I cant stand the exhaust cleaning bs, you lose tons of hp when on the road.

I have (2) Standers right now #3 and #4
#3 - 4 years old 1300 hrs, motor is getting rebuilt as we speak, 23 hp with heavy duty air kit, 52" Deck, new rear tires, just put 3 new spindles on plus all new belts on last week, flat free soft foam front tires, under deck baffle kit, side discharge flap.
#4 - 3 years old 1200 hrs, 19hp with heavy duty air kit, 52" Deck, new rear tires, brand new clutch last week with new belts, flat free soft foam front tires, under deck baffle kit, side discharge flap.
Both are in good shape, no deck cracks or problems, overall when they are washed they look great, just getting older and the amount of time we spend on them are beating the up with break downs now and my routes are so tight I can afford machine down time. Im waiting on demo prices on 2 ZK's so if I can swing it I would like to sell the ones I have. But if I cant I will wait till next year to get new mowers.
I will get some pics of everything asap.

ALOT of overhead. Most of the time the work just keeps coming in but sometimes you have to make it come in. But it is getting bad around here, I keep telling everyone ... I only do landscaping to keep my snow customers happy. If the trend of pricing keeps going the way it is we will all be working for free.

That is good to hear. There are not many out over here at all right now. I was also looking into the scag v ride but they are new and no one has one either. The toro is way over priced now and the regular stander is just not big/tough enough anymore for the sites I have

Just a quick question or 2 for you then one out there for the ZK lovers.
I also need to rebuild my 23hp Kaw and curious how much that is going to run. Doing yourself? I've looked around a few places and what I've been given the price of a new engine is only like $200- 250 away from parts alone.
ZK related... anyone running a 52"? and is that what you are looking at purchasing? Still undecided on just the RH model stander or just go all out for a ZK. The RH just can't hold the hill like a ZK, and speed and engine size blows it away. I have demoed a 61", but its not what I need to replace right now so give some reviews on a 52" please.
Thanks
Jason

The RH model sucks. The rebuild is about $810 in parts. I can do it myself but I gave it to the mechanic that does most of my stuff an he said about 3hrs in labor. I would like so ZK feed back as well.

For your Wright parts do you go to Russo? I'm thinkin' that Franklin Park is around Chicagoland. I really need to make a trip up there to see. At least that is what I've been told. I know of a company that out of Indy area that deals with them on all their Wright products. Even tho we "have" a dealer in Indy.

Russo's is about 3 minutes from my yard/shop. They mostly have everything in stock all the time but if they need to order it, it takes about 2 days to get it in. They are the cheapest for me at least but I do buy a lot of stuff from them.

The Wells for sure at this point in time. The Haulmark was a great trailer for a starter and smaller company were, I myself, was working out of it daily and watching it making sure things werent getting broken. But it is just not built to be used by a crew and beat to death.
The Wells on the other hand, is built like a tank. Wells put a lot of thought into it to make it idiot and break proof, if you know were Im going with this point .... lol

Haha, for sure. Not meant for the guys who don't give a crap. A company I work for sometimes has three Haulmarks. One 22' used for landscaping and 2 16', one for fertilizer and one for aerating and overseeding. They're nice trailers but the ramp on the back of the 22 footer sees a lot of abuse from things like a pipe puller and little JD 2520 tractor. Its been in the shop a few times for things like the flip over ramp coming off and a cable breaking a couple times. I just wanted to get a comparison between the two from someone who has both. Thanks

It is actually a seamed black skin, I ordered it from Wells that way. My trailers are all custom ordered, no run of the mill stuff here.
As far as the bullets, no way. The services types are listed on the side of the trailer ..... land development - maintenance - snow relocation.
Simple, Clean, Profession. I cant stand seeing trailers with a list of crap all over it, a landscape does landscaping stuff right? No need to list it, plus you cant read it fast enough as the truck drives by. I have even begun removing the phone numbers off the trucks and trailers. References here or if you see us come up to one of the crews and they will lead you in the right direction.
