nice exmark, however the grass doesn't really look like it was cut by one(in terms of stripes)

becareful with your trimmer laying sideways like that. the gas can come back through and soak the air filter and youll be dead in the water and have to keep buying airfilters. i found that out the hard way. nice setup though

Looks like your overlapping your stripes causing the lines to look like you push mowed it or used a smaller mower than your 48. Nice equiptment tho

Sorry just curious but what should exmark stripes look like ? The customer likes it cut really short. I dont know if that would make a diffence but i know there is not alot of grass to layover? And thanks Oakhills. I will definitely keep that in mind. I imagine it could turn into a very expensive mistake over time.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have a 2500 HD 6.0L to pull. I have a few residential accounts but my main accounts are 2 Subdivisions around the area with townhomes, pools and common areas and tennis courts etc. Working on getting as many as possible right now. I am only 19 years old and i'm actually a full time college student wanting to get away from retail. I Currrently work in the garden department at The Home Depot. Working for "the man", and just want to do something i enjoy doing.

That grass I believe is on the more difficult side to stripe...as in, It doesn't....maybe?

Bingo!!

Be careful when taking mowing advice from customers... I understand the dilemna of "the customer is always right", but that can also be more harm than good to your business name... you tracking?

I'm not too far from you, I'm right down in Powder Springs. Did you pick the mower up at Ace in D'ville?

Good luck! Your equip. looks good btw.

Thanks for the replies so far. And yea i hope to keep it looking that shiny for a long time. It's brand new but i still clean it every time its used. Almost like OCD:) For that price i want it to stay looking brand new!! And yea Grass2Cash your really close. And thank you and BladeScape for the backup on the stripes. And i did get it from ACE in D'Ville. They were awesome to deal with, and thanks for the advice.

Not to get into your business, but how can you start out with all this really nice equipment? Do you have any experience in the industry, or did you just think it would be fun to try?

warm season grasses are a ***** to stripe and you have to have your back facing the sun to see any. ill post pics thursday of my nicer accounts. most lcos here just mow in circles and leave no stripes just a consistent cut, im the only one obsessed with striping. hahaha

orlawncaresvc. Thanks!!!

Smithco- No problem at all glad to answer. I do have experience. It started just like every other young guy on the forum. I was 13 or 14 and would drive my dads mower with a little trailer attached to it with my stuff in it to yards in my neighborhood. I was very fortunate and lucky. Then word of mouth took over and i got probably 15 or so houses through my subdivision. I got into highschool and was extremely involved in school and i eventually stopped cutting. Then one of my neighbors started his own LCO and asked me to work for him doing primarily commercial properties. I loved it. But he sold his business and I went to work for The Home Depot when i started college and started saving to be able to buy my own equipment. I have saved as much as possible over the last couple of years at The Depot and paid that towards the equipment, financing the rest. I was able to save more than average seeing that i still live with my parents because i am still in colloege. The equipment should be paid off very soon considering the subdivision accounts i am able to cut and still work at Home Depot allowing me to put all that money towards my equipment. Very busy to say the least.........and thanks all for the replies!

I noticed some busted up pine cones, are you just running them over? I wouldn't do that, they are very rough on blades.
