Reseeding or Sod 4500sf in Manalapan NJ

Hello, Im thinking i need to have my front lawn burned out and either reseeded with QUALITY seed Bluegrass/Rye or replaced with local sod. The reason being total eradication of existing lawn is bent grass has slowly invaded the lawn to about 75%, where it came from can be debated???? i have tried to cut it down low to the ground several seasons ago and over seeded twice. The grass i plant comes up and is looking good for the fall and early spring but gets choked out by the bent grass by may june. When the weather gets hot the bent grass gets looking pritty bad, brown spots and burns easy, matted sideways stalks. I am convinced i just need to finally roundup the lawn get rid of it and start from fresh. Cost has to be considered. I used to be in the lawn industry but for health reasons had to give it up, three years ago i would have been able to lay down all the sod myself, these days its a different story .. Your Advice would be greatly appreciated :confused:

Then you already know that the bent grass is best covered.
Where sod is concerned and cost may be an issue. I always say, "Do only the areas that are most important to you and hopefully the seed catches up later."
