My center spindle just went out - little over 200 hours on the mower. My father is calling the dealer right now but if they do not have any in stock how much downtime are we looking at? It's Baker Vehicle in Macedonia, OH

If they dont have it in stock they could have it the same day or next day.
Our Ohio warehouse that supplies dealers only is only about 20 minutes from Baker.

thanks - had it back within a week. Cut is Better.
Regarding the baffle kit, I have a question about the metal strip along the front of the deck to add suction - will I be able to purchase this part in the future? I ask becuase I doubt it will last the life of the mower and would like to know if it will be available dow the road. If so, is there a part number?
Another Question - Im sure its just a belt tensioning issue but now when the blades engage it make a loud "grab" noise. Also, when the mower is at full operating temperature and I engage the blades the mower bogs way down. This is eliminated somewhat if I engage at half throttle and then rev up. Further and most importantly, when the mower is at full temperature it bogs out of nowhere when under a slight load.....but it doesnt do this unless I run it about a half hour or so. I am a little concerned bacuse its not heavy grass causing it to bog down...i know that sound and its different.
Any suggestions?

What baffle? did they install a kit? I need to know what they installed.
As to the blades engaging, they shouldn't engage that hard, are you starting them in taller grass by chance?

yes, a kit was installed. two triangles and the rear and one triangle to the front between the trim side blade and the center blade. dealer took my blow out baffles and i need to get them back (but thats a minor issue). the kit also included a strip going along the entire front of the cut chamber. this strip will be gone or bent into a blade by years end so i need to know if they are available for purchase or whatever.
this kit was installed to correct cut issues which included a slightly longer strip of cut grass about 6-8" in from the trimside and also poor lift. the kit has improved lift and corrected the strip of longer grass **in most grass types** and i describe the cut as "better"
are we aware of anyone who engages blades in long grass? if the blades should not engage this hard is it just a matter of loosening the belt?
and why would the mower be dropping so much in power as described.....again this is not the result of engaging or cutting in very long grass. just basic mowing tasks which are otherwise easily handled by these commercial machines.

If you could get me the part # for the baffle kit they installed I can get you the part #'s you want.
As to the power issue, loosening the belt would be the solution.
Over the internet this is something hard to diagnose, have you mentioned this to the guys at Baker?
