Why are hydro mowers superior?

Any thoughts?

If you are talking about wb's then there are several reasons. First, a hydro mower is far more manuverable than a gear drive since you can go from forward to reverse without having to switch gears. Second, it actually has a reverse where as some gear driven units only have a "reverse assist". Also, there is no chance of having a belt slip when working in wet conditions. I'm sure there are some more reasons, but thats all I feel like thinking about right now.

Ease of maneuverability. You can mow just as well with a belt drive mower but in my experience, having had a Toro belt drive...it was a bear to maneuver...but only in reverse. Another issue is belts slipping in the wet. A hydro mower has no issues to speak of except being a lot more expensive. Viva la difference! After owning a hydro it's really hard using a belt...IMHO

DD hydro's are superior the SD hydro is a joke in comparison!
