It looks like my starter may be bad once again on my 27/66 Super Z. It only has around 98 hours on it, but it's now out of warranty, and according to a Super Z rep that I talked to, it's now my baby. It just makes one single click when you try to start it, just like it did back in 2007 when I first got it. I was told back then that the starter was replaced, but now I wonder. I don't have any documentation as to what warranty work has been performed, so I don't know if the hard start kit was installed either. Yesterday I had to try around 40 times before it finally started. I mowed my grass down on 2.5" after it finally started just in case it won't start again till I fix it. I'm a pretty good mechanic, but after looking closely at the starter location on the Kohler, it looks like the motor or the R/S wheel pump will have to be moved in order to remove the starter. If anyone has done this before or if you can point me at some info on how do do this I would greatly appreciate it.
