View Full Version : estimating acreage

Putting a bid in on 20 acres. Any idea how much to charge per acre of mowing? I've heard $17 per acre, but that don't make no sense. Also, the weedeating is on a scale of little to a lot, about in the middle. What should the total bid be if it would take four guys 5 to 7 hours to do the work?

Depending if it is field work or quality cutting and how fast you can get it done! 30 to 60 bucks an acre.....

We have 2 people crew that regularly turn in 20 acres a day. Today was 33.42 acres. It depends on what the terrain is like. $24.78 per acre. What are you mowing?

about half of the lawn is quality grass. the rest is field grass. mostly flat terrain. not sure how bumpy it will be. we have two 48 inch scag tiger cubs we will be using.

$700 a cut

$700 sounds about right. Thinking about it the trimming does seem rather extensive. Might go with 8 or 9 hundred. Thanks for the input.

G'luck. I was thinking $800 or so, depending on how much trimming.
