Figured a few of you might know how to solve this short of getting a lawyer involved and a pricey court cost.

This issue has been going on close to 10 years, my parents should have backed out and not even bought the house after the survey was done, property steaks were put up and the Realtor calls saying "neighbors pulled up the property line steaks" :nono:

We'll, issue was thought to be resolved, surveyors redid the survey, neighbors were told that's the line, don't like it get your own survey. OK, that was 10 years ago.

Two years ago the fence put up on the property line, all because the neighbor wanted to stack logs two feet over into our property and again neighbor didn't agree, cops were called, whole nine yards again and survey done and she was told pull them up you go to jail and homeowners would not be the one suing it would be the surveyor

Here and now.
I'm reseeding the front, going all the way to the street which is beyond our property line and neighbors. This area is the county right away which every property owner has and maintains. So at the street, I put some brick in the ground flush with the surface to prevent the neighbors barnyard grass from spreading into my fescue. I didn't even have an opertunity to get pictures before she took a pic axe and dug them up!!! Resulting in me having called the cops which said this is a civil matter and nothing they could do.

There is a mark at the street where the property line actually is.

Dig a trench 4 inches wide and two feet deep. Put three lengths of rebar in it. Finish the top of it smooth a couple inches below grade. Then attach your pavers with tile morter.

Or better yet, just get some concrete dye and and don't mess with the pavers.

If she says anything, point out how neighborly you were by not putting nails in the concrete (with 1" sticking out).

Yes, rebar, mesh and high strength concrete that goes down about 3 feet. If this is a civil matter, then should my border be damaged or defaced, someone will be in court to answer a complaint about property damage.

Roundup the barnyard grass on the public lands for about 6" wide.

Anwer not a fool according to his folly, lest you become like unto him. or her.

Been down this road, she's actually roundup things we set out on our side of the property line because she thinks it's on her. :dizzy:

YES, surver was done not once but TWICE and she still don't obey the boundary. Hence; the reason for moving fence to property line.

I was told I needed a wider angle photo so those are attached. First one is after she dug them up with the axe, second one is after the cop left and she placed the the brick where she thinks the line is so thats where I re-fixed the brick at flush with ground top, last one is after she fixed her side with more "sod" which I call barnyard grass. I really would like to know what type grass/weed it actually is.

Hey, if thats where she likes it fine, I know where the line is and thats all that really matters.

That sucks.. She probably assumes the tree line (beyond in the picture) is the property line. Doesn't seem like that property is of any use to her anyway.

not trying to be an asshat here, but by putting the edging down (which wont do an damn thing) all you are doing is further antagonizing this woman.

Honestly if she wants that 2-3 foot section of weeds at the end of her driveway (assuming the white paint is the actual mark). send her a letter stating that you are allowing her the use of YOUR property. This means that she cannot claim adverse possession under the law, since you allowed it..

You've probably already spent hundreds of dollars on surveyor fees, spending another few hundred on court/lawyer fees. For what, satisfaction? the fence is in place. and since the area in question is ROW its the counties land, not yours or the neighbors.

And we wonder why the courts are clogged up, and cops are frustrated...

Marc... I guess you're mistaken, Those weeds that you errantly refer to are actually fescue on the left and barnyard grass on the right. :nono: LOL

Sorry everyone for not getting back, we've had company so I haven't been on much in the last couple a days.

eatonpcat is right, my lawn is on the left and her weeds are on the right and there are two reasons for the brick to start with, I don't care where the brick lay if she wants the extra two inches uhhhh, fine with me because 1. I just want to keep it from spreading into mine and if any does I have a legit reason to spray in. 2. Without the brick and it spreads and I spray it with a herbicide now she says I killed her grass :dizzy: this spring I cut an area of this same area where the barnyard grass had spread up into mine and the next thing you know this crazy women don't realize it spreads, (or maybe she does and thats the reason she put it there was to deface the property. :nono: Anyhow when I cat the 2" that had spread into the lawn, she comes out, jumps on my mother, accused her of having cut the grass and killed our dog (which we put to sleep two years back with cancer) and now my mother was killing my father (which was in the house and in failing health).

That, was a bit overboard and I called the police. She was told point blank by the officer she was not to look our way or speak to anyone else in my family and we, we'll have always done that.
