Sounds like you got a new mower for a used mower price.

Hey Gator. I was just by my dealer and he has 2 66" 30hp Kohler Super Zs Left. One is brand new and he wants $7899.00 and the other is a demo with a full warranty and he wants $7499.99

The dealer is Equipment Direct and their phone number is 352-379-3130 The manager is Victor. He's who I deal with. The owner is pretty nice too but Vic takes care of me. Hey buddy if you call or buy from them do me a favor and say Chip sent you becasue I get a free set of blades for the referral.

Goodluck!

Don't think for a minute you'll get a NEW 31hp 60 or 66 for anything less than $9k-10K. And even that's a deal considering its a retail machine for $12,000. The dealers are paying more than these guys bought old inventory. Trust me we're a large Hustler dealer selling just over 80 units this past year. And I would love to be able to purchase new units for 7899.00 to resale.

If you can get a dealer between 9-9500k on a 31KAW 60 your getting a great deal. SUPER Z's NOT HUSTLER Z. Although they are offering a HUSTLER Z 29HpKAW in a 60" now. If you looking to save some $$$$.

Just talked to Victor and he has some deals on 66" machines that he bought from another dealer that went out of business. They are new machines and he said he could sell them cheaper than a 60". A new 60" with 31 Kawi is $8999 + tax.
Wish I was in the market for a 66", but I just bought one about four months ago and need to replace my 04 60" now.
Thanks for the contact info Chip

no, its not stealing them, the dealer I use buys a semi load at a time, now what dealer gets the better pricing, one that buys 4 or 5 or the one that gets a whole load.

Your dealer must be paying cash. We book an order of 50-60 units at a time and are a large volume dealer and we still pay more than what your guys sounds like he's selling them for. And if that's the case he's leaving money on the table and that IMO, since he's using his money to purchase them, is stupid. :hammerhead:

And other than Cash purchases, Its based on a bracket system of volume for the entire year, and booking orders. Not whether or not there getting four or five at a time. We often do that after selling out of units we booked.

Yo Jb...is it snowing up there yet?? anyways, if your able to snag one below 9k you're pretty lucky..however like the boys in your area told me a month ago, they gonna try and move the 09's out as soon as possible so they can to get ready for next year...right now SIE has one for 9400, and will stay there at that price. if they have to order more you can expect a 2% increase on top of that next year, and thats if its in stock...the 12,500 is in fact msrp...be safe pardner

>>>And if that's the case he's leaving money on the table and that IMO, since he's using his money to purchase them, is stupid. <<<

Well I don't really know the owner that well but I have met him several times His name is Steve and he always comes out of his office and takes the time to do the polite handshake when I or anyone else buys something.

What I will say is the guy is like 34-35 and knows more about the lawn business and equipment than anyone I've never met! He has given me tons of free advice and its always right. In fact, when I got started in 2004 he even helped me set up my LLC, worker's comp and city licenses and helped me with several bids.

I know he graduated from the University of Florida so me thinks he no es stupid! Sounds like to me all of you dealers and all of you guys paying tons more for a mower are the "stupid ones".

But what do I know? Well I know his store is neat, clean and super organized and they almost always have the part i need in stock and if they don't they get it over night almost every time.

Oh ya the coffee is free and good and no matter how buys they are, and trust me they are busy, they always seem to have time for you. All of this at a lower price too.

I wonder if people thought Sam Walton was stupid?

On the one hand because I say it should be good enough. But on the other hand I know you don't know me so I understand and no offense taken.

Hustler Super Z 928051A Serial 0902****

Paid: $7,699.99 plus tax / Paid CASH

Now, just so you know I have thought about buying another 66' Super Z and they still have them in stock I looked at it last week they have 2 2009s left in their showroom. But the price now is $7,899.99 due to a rebate that's not around but was in August just in case you call.

Thanks Hydro...didn't see that post before I wrote again. Equip Direct quoted me $9k by phone, no chance I'm down for that. Got a better deal outside town. I'll be sure to tell em Chip sent me if they can match price I got.

Most of those deals are for smaller motors because they are underpowered if you mow near top speeds... if you don't they are fine.
