Overlap a little less on each pass, you'll get wider and easier to distinguish stripes. Lawn looks nice and thick though!

Thanks guys. I only overlaped because I was mulching the grass and it was tall and thick so I was trying to eliminate some clumps. This is with my new toro BTW.

Looks good, who installed the lawn?

Lawn Freak. I do not know who installed it. This is just a lawn I am taking care of for the rest of the year. Only because his wife is haveing a baby and he wants to take time off of cutting. The guy ususally takes care of the yard.

I asked him what his secret was for the lawn. He said cut it high. He only watered the lawn 1 time this summer!!

This lawn is in a sub division area. I hope to get some more yards in that area because of this one!!

If I were you I would have mastered the 21" first before moving up to bigger equipment. It really isn't that hard to keep the mower straight!! Practice young grass hopper practice.

Thats what my old boss used to say to me

I'm much better at keeping straight lines with a hydro machine. I've mastered the hydro WB and the ZTR. But I'll be danged if I can't keep a perfect line with a 21." Usually I get ticked because I did a little screw up, then I just don't care.

And a real mower, like a 48" TTHP, leaves a much nicer cut than a 21" so I care more when I cut with that.

True. I was Busting your chops. Just because 21" is usually what everybody starts off with and they master it.

Yeah, that's good point.

If you can't mow with a 21," find some other business!

Mowing high is the key. I mow the lawn at my house high and the grass comes in very thick and green.

I posted these pictures up here to show the people what 21" mowers can do. Since there is always someone that says that 21" mowers do not stripe. I think that we all can see that they do stripe!!

Looks good ben, I usually catch alot of disrespect on here for 21 pictures but I still like the way they look and give the guys running 21s solely alot of credit. here is probaly my best lawn that I cut, used my lawn boy commercial...

Looks good WLM. I just don't have the patience to make my lines that straight. Also, my stripes aren't as visible with mine, so I tend not to care as much.

WOW WLM. Do you have one of the old staggered wheel decks with the 2 stroke engine?? JW because I could never get mine to stripe like that. I would always get the staggered wheel going down the middle of the stripe!! Looks excellent!!!

No it is a 2008 22271, best push mower I have ever used. This picture was with no striping kit. That particular lawn is irrigated and has about 5" of growth each time I cut it. It makes it easy to make straight lines because the grass is so thick and helps with the mower sliding on the hill.

That looks nice and I bet I could outdo him I just dont want to spend that much time, and i removed the striping kit from my mower because it gets in the way and on my nerves :nono:
