My little brain was thinking, where is crabgrass right now, towards the end of the season. It is now established and most of the seeds for the year have been germinated

So where is it?

My observation is:
Not in lower light environments, it seems that the plant needs 6 hours+ of light

It is in compacted environments like near the driveway where the tires go over the soil (or dirt)

It likes dirt and not soil

It seems to be where the grass has been edged

It has now taken over any bare spots in the lawn that were there
In most cases, it seems like you could control it by limiting some of those factors

We have some around the base of a tree, growing up through the stones. Only that one though.

We had it come up in the sod during the daily watering routine. Haven't noticed if it grown much.

Where it really is - is the blueberry patch. I kept it away from the base of the blueberries, but it has filled the spaces between to the tune of about 14" high.

I have quite a lot in my front yard that looks a little healthier now than it did when the temp was warmer. I spot sprayed MSMA this summer and was very successful on killing the mature clumps, but I didn't spray the younger, non-clump CG that is mixed throughout my front yard. I've kept it cut close for control and will use ICT gluten-8 this spring to help get rid of it. I also have some growing in lower light areas, like at the base of some trees.
