Hey guys, I'm told there is such a thing as a soil analyzer/tester that you can do your own soil tests?
Would like to hear you guys opinions, are they reliable? If so what make/model and where can I get?

I have three inexpensive type --but they never come out the same. Accuracy is fair--I wouldn't read anything beyond the decimal point. My favorite is the pH tester by J&M Instrument company.
Here is another example. You need to follow the directions carefully to get good results.

You can also get pH paper strips which turn color in response to pH levels. See also Kelway testers for a more professional approach. I am sure Gemplers and Rittenhouse would have them also.
