So ive been looking at going from my open trailer (its a 6x12) to an enclosed trailer... well obviously they are pretty pricey, im ok with spending the money, but in an effort to save some cash I figured i would just ask if anyone had successfully transformed their open trailer into an enclosed one?

If i were to do it i was thinking along the lines of steel/aluminum support bracing covering the trailer with wood and then wrapping it with a plastic? something like what hockey boards are made of, and heating them up to bend and form them around corners...?

I just thought id throw out if anyone has done/heard about doing anything like this and id be interested to know how it went. and what you used for material

i saw one built from 2x4's and plywood and in the end it actually turned out nice so if your on a budget just do it rights and it can look good.

i also saw another where the built a frame of steel wraped it in plywood then put some kind of sheet metal on it and when done it looked EXACTLY like a store built trailer and i'm sure was stronger

take a look at weldingweb.com it is a welding forum and i have seen a couple on there
