What equipment would you buy? I will be out on my own at the start of next season and I am debating what equipment to buy. I am thinking about the following mowers..
Walker GHS 42" mower
Lesco or Exmark 36" walkbehind
maybe a Toro or Exmark larger ZTR
What is your take?

So you want to buy all of those mowers?
Honestly, the types of mowers you get should depend on what type of accounts you are servicing and what dealers you have close.

If I was starting out today, I would go out and buy a 61" Grasshopper, 48" Walker, and 26" Exmark. That covers all of the bases.

I can tell you for me it changes every couple of years. Last year I added a Hustler 66" but now the properties that made this unit shine are gone so I wish I had a Walker Super B to go along with my Walker MTGHS.
Personally for starting out I think a Hydro Walkbehind is the way to go. What types of properties are you going to target?

If i could start over with one mower... I would say a walker 31MTGHS with a 48" or 52" GHS deck and a 62 sd deck and all stihl hand helds. As a matter of fact i want to sell both my mowers and do just that. Get a fresh start again. But the super bee is SOOOO hard to pass up. I got to demo one and it is a sweet unit. I think it is far superior to any mid mount i have ever used.

I am just getting started with a few accounts. I previously got a nice loan to start my own biz. I am 18 and have a fully licenced and insured company. I have a 16 ft tandom axle trailer with a Lesco 60 inch commercial mower, Echo 265t trimmer, Echo pb 500, and a Kawasaki stick edger. I am off to a great start hopefully it will continue to grow.

Why the Honda 21" WB ?

Why the Honda 21" WB ?
It is what we currently use and I have not had any problems. The 21" is only used on 1/10 yards it seems, so I don't want to put too much cash into it. At the same time I don't want to buy the cheapest thing out there either.

I would buy a 48inch hydro turf tracer and a 52 or 60 inch turf tracer hydro. If u have any gates or small yards i would get a mower for that. i have a 36 inch exmark hydro and holy crap i love it it will climb up any hill out there and it fits through most gates.

Concrete Curbing Equipment, nothing but.

If I could start over, I wouldn't buy a single thing on credit or take out a loan. Built at a slow pace and pay cash, trust me. Start with a good used mower that you can pay cash for.
