Am I the only one who is tempted to get one of those funny rotor lawnmowers and charge a fortune for true organic lawn care. You think anyone would go for it? :o

man, the manual push ones! the ones that spin vertically and shoot grass all over the place? should have been more specific. Obvious they're not very efficient but it'd be pretty funny.

Ohhhh lol yeah, man power would definitely be "more green".
Side note... rotary mowers are the ones you see all over the place. The ones you are talking about are called reel mowers.

I had to use one of those as a kid and what I don't like is that it cut too low with no adjustment available. If it is adjustable that's better.
The other problem is - in heavy grass it doesn't cut fast enough - so the 'back and forth' motion is endless.
If we were serious about carbon emmissions we would manage the western forests with at least fire breaks. We can sometimes smell the fires here in Wisco, but have never smelled L.A. or even the Twin Cities.

This looks like a lawn Roomba. The vacuum sort of sucked, but it was more fun watching the cats and dogs run away from it.

They had these fifteen years ago at Epcot mowing the grass. Taken a long time to get these to market and still over priced.

I was under the impression that reel mowers provide a cleaner cut at low "deck" heights. Are they not the prime equipment to maintain fairway turfs? Granted you need to "gang" them and maintain sharp blades. Cost was the benefactor in rotary mowers.
