2000 Walker MTGHS 26hp EFI ztr. 42" inch deck. 340 hours. Good condition. How much is it worth? I will post better pics tomorrow or whenever this week it gets its once a month pressure washing. I don't own one, so off to the car wash. This is after a good old hand washing. Never been painted, hence the scrapes and surface rust. It will be touched up here soon, I live right one the coast...like on the ocean...and things start to oxidize quickly here. This is as clean as I think a mower that gets used will get. :p

The only things that have been replaced are ALL the fluids at 200 hrs, oil every 50. Oil filter and air filter. It has a new buzzer for the dump, has a new hydrostatic kit (the pulley became worn and spun off), muffler gaskets. I am about to replace a plug connector to the oil temp sensor. It runs great. What should I try to sell this mower at locally? Im so far away from any major cities I doubt any of you will drive here. Im about 300 miles from, Sacramento and San Francisco, 120 miles from Redding, 413 from Portland. Etc...

Yes, I am in Eureka. Says Eureka is my location in upper right hand corner...plus its in my username. Eureka. Yeah. Anyhow, didnt think of taking a pic under the deck. I just got done scraping most of the paint off I was going to repaint it under there. Too much grass was sticking. I will post new pics here in a sec in original post.

Well, as I said, this is a feeler thread. I was hoping some people that werent looking at buying would see the thread and be able to gauge the value of it and give me an opinion. I dont see mowers with low hours or with a hi dump like this. I have seen 26 hp efi's like this around the 2000-2002 years with like 800 hours go for about 7k. But mine has only 340...and a very expensive hi dump kit. So...I dunno 9500? Secondly, as you can see by the low hours. I rarely use it, I have a lot of high end accounts. But I find that the size of their yards dont warrant the time to load it and unload it from the trailer. Also, 100% of my customers have gates that are so tiny they only leave an inch or two around my 21' push mowers. So basically, I dont need it.. I tried using it this summer for 70 hours. But I found it didnt save me time or money for my type of clients yards over using a push mower

Well i will take a shot but this is clearly just an opinion and the resale market in your area may differ. A guy here just sold his 2007 23hp with the walker high lift not the all seasons not sayin either one is better jus saying that it may be hard to find parts for the all season which my shy some buyers. His sold around $8,650 with 700hrs. Witch is right at about $7 per hour depriciation. Now im not sure what your unit was selling for in 2000 but i wouldn measure your price off of current prices i would take the orgininal selling price which if i had to guess would probably be around 10,500 to 11,000 (dont include tax) plus the high dump option which was guessing because ive never bought an all seasons lift but prob around $2500. 10500+2500=13000 original selling price (might be slightly high) I would take $9 per hour as a guess * 340 = $3060 13000-3060 = $9940
So i would say you are probably in the ball park of reasonable with the $9500 the only problem i would see is possibly getting someone to pay that for that machine. Yes it has very low hours but it is 9yrs old. Kind of like a 2000 pickup with 34,000 mi you arnt going to get anywhere near new price for it because it is almost 10 yr old so that is the only consideration that i could see. Realisticly as you get higher in the hour range depricitation rates decline. About 500hr i like to see around $8 an hour 700-800 range $7.50 - $7.00 an hour over 1000 about $6.50 - $6 an hour now this does not apply accross the board due to condition and other out side factors, but i use this kind of as a guide as to what i would consider a fair deal.

Hey thanks. That does help. I had no idea as of to depreciation rates or anything like that. I was just making an educated guess, looks like I was kinda close. As for the all seasons lift, the parts were not one-off parts made by all seasons, they are off the shelf available from the manufacturers.

Did you ever come up with a price? If you are in the 6k range I would be interested. I do understand the low hours but at 9500......thats to high, it is a 9 year old machine (i think new is around 12k) You could just about buy new, new warranty, 10.5 blower, and larger hopper. Granted it may not have the hi dump, but that is something I could do with out. I'm not looking to take advantage of you, by no means, just like you, I must watch my cash. Let me know.....

I would not be interested in the 6k range. Thanks.

6000 is a fair deal. the machine is old . My dealer sold his demo 2008 26hp ghs no high dump for 8400. 33hrs. on it.

Well. 6k I'm not interested in. Every walker efi Ive seen around that year with like 700 hours have gone for more than 6k, more like 7k. That's a great deal your dealer sold one for.

Walker is no longer for sale. I cannot get a good enough offer for it, either the market is weak or I'm way off base on it's worth. Was thinking around 9k. But, I'm thinking I will be better off holding on to it. Low hours, it's not blowing up anytime soon. Thanks.

Wise move. Its worth that, but hard for a buyer to pay that for the year. Looks great and will give you years of good service
