PJ,,,,,,,

I WAS looking at tading my current line-up in the spring for two HT 31/66's

According to your web-site and MSRP list for '09, Such a machine does not exist.....

I reallly like the hustler machine with the "66 cut, I was also disapointed to see on the web-site that a 28/66 is no longer available but a honda/66 is??????????????????? Thats 675 CC's and 24 horses for a 21 cc pumps and 66 inches of grass,,,,Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

My Disgust for this comes from the 2900$$$$ I just spent on a complete Hydro Rebuild for my 28/66 at 1000 hrs.. A short 3000 dollars spent and the same bogus performance of slopes....

I know Hustler wont miss a two machine deal,,, I really feel for my dealer Who has been great through all these break downs and now he misses out on two sells, because I have to go red to get the machine I want....

You are correct, we dont offer a HT 66" Super Z, sorry, we havent had any type of demand for it in any quantity.

Here are your 66" Super Z models...

Super Z, 28HP Kohler EFI / 66" XR-7, SUSP seat. Model # 928028 MSRP $12,999
Super Z, 31HP Kawasaki / 66" XR-7, SUSP seat. Model # 928895 MSRP $12,039
Super Z, 24HP Honda / 66" XR-7, SUSP seat. Model # 927855 MSRP $11,619
Super Z, 26HP Kawasaki LC / 66" XR-7, SUSP seat. Model # 927939 MSRP $12,569

What red unit can you get in a 66" with the ground speed and ride and controls like the Hustler?

How does a 24 hp engine handle a 66" deck when there are times my 28 efi has more than it can handle? The 24 must be for people that like the Honda name because there is no way that engine can handle the the big pumps and wheels motors and attempt to cut 66" of grass. A Super Z with its speed is useless with that engine, the 24 would be better suited to a 60" regular Z, where you could at least maintain 8+ mph.

I would say your 31/66 in the Super Z has been the best machine for the money and probably the best seller in that model, what do you think?

PJ, Couldn't he do a special order for the 66" mower with HT motors. It's basically a engine switch and wiring harness on the assembly line.

After some review DC and everide are the only other machines that still offer a 66 cut... Yeah I like the ride, but the Ground speed is not a selling point for me so don't go there..... More like a thorn in my A$$, when I lose wheel speed and QOC on slopes, hence the want for an HT model??

I'm pretty sure your configurator on-line shows the E.F.I. only available on a 60 Cut.. I'll double check...

Actually, we have not sold many HT models in the midwest. Curious to know what "red" machine offers better hillside ability than a Hustler. We have sold many 31hp Kawi Super Z's. I think you would be happy with their power and torque. A 31hp 60" Super Z HT is available, but it is not stocked by many dealers or distributors in your area. I hope your reconsider Hustler for your equipment needs. I am certain both The Sled Shed and Hustler Turf Equipment appreciates your business.

Has anyone (that can make things happen) at Hustler been made aware of the requests for other HT models? In my case the 60" HT with the 28 efi, or am I holding my breath for nothing? I gotta tell ya, I don't think the requests will ever come from the dealer level. I'm not sure the dealers around here are even aware that there is an HT.

I dont know about other parts of the midwest but we have sold alot of HT's this year. I absoutley love this machine! I have told our rep many times that this needs to be a full production machine! Every person that we have sold one to that has a regular super Z and the HT's says they will be switching everything to the HT!

Fancy that, someone from my area running HT's, least last I checked Iowa borders MO... Probably cutting the same thick cool season turf on some slopes... Sure puts a super on it's knees, at times I wonder if I took the pulley cover off, If I could count the blade revs....

I discussed this with my dealer and he would put two 31/66Ht's together for me.. Park a super 66 and HT 60 a little labor..... and not a big deal to him to sell another super 60 but I would have my HT 66...

Yeah, I'm sure the 31 pulls the pumps better but it's wasted fuel IMO, iIhave a Demo 31/60 right now and it seems to but you can still pull it in thick turf and slopes..

I can't understand for the life of me why Hustler is so far behind every mower manufacture in larger hp engine choices, especially when the Super Z is in more need of hp than any zero turn mower made. I know they have some type thought process behind their engine choices but I sure would love for someone to explain them.

Get us an answer for the reason of Hustler not supplying an engine choice with excessive power to pull the big pumps and cut grass in all situations without rpm drop?

Contrary to popular belief the 31 Kawi is not an adequate engine to handle the Super Z's power needs to full satisfaction.
