SUNRISE: Bundle up, it might snow today
September 21, 2009 6:37 AM

THE GAZETTE

On the last official day of summer, the National Weather Service predicts the first snowfall for the season today. The service predicts a cold wet day today with thunderstorms and a high of 48 degrees, and then a 30 percent chance of snow tonight. The cold, wet pattern is predicted for the next few days.

Came back from Snowmass/Aspen area yesterday, and got snowed on going over Independence Pass. Winter is here early. I haven't even sent my cards out yet for blowing out systems. They arrive here today. Go out on Wed/Thur.

I was playing beach volleyball all day Saturday. Was mid/upper 50's in the morning, windy ..... jogging pants and long sleeves. Then warmed up to mid 70's, no clouds. Glorious last day of Summer down at the beach.

It's currently 91. Doing a paper work day. I wish I had A/C in the office. Got all set up, but didn't have a chance all summer to put in a small unit.

It was actually the last day of summer, not first of fall......

32 degrees here right now. Just shut down a couple systems in case it gets colder than expected.

Colorado, here I come. I hate the heat. Nothing better than powder up to the knees and frozen snot on the nostrils.

funny...it was forecast to hit 97 here today, but I don't think it got over 86... alittle early for me to think snow....

Now I know why my dad didn't like it much when he was at stationed at Ft. Carson... he grew up in Cleveland, OH and shoveled a lot of snow in his younger years.

3"-7" of snow forecast for my area tonight into tomorrow. People are chomping at the bit to get systems shut down. Probably going to be 80 degrees by the weekend.

Mike - make sure to check the forecasts before your trip out this way.

I got about 7 calls for blowouts today. A little "cool" front really sets off the bittys at home.

I really don't advert. specifically for them, other than to existing customers. Postcards go out today actually. I've received 7 new customers in the last two days from Google and my website.

Once our compressor gets put to sleep, it gets pricey for a one-off cold call.
