ferris hydro wheel wont turn

i have a ferris dual drive walk behind. the right wheel will turn when it is elevated but has no power to move the machine. im thinking i need a new pump but dont want to purchase one without some more trouble shooting. how can i check hydryalic flow and or turning gear operation. thanx

Make sure the bypass is in the correct position. Make sure its full of fluid and no air in the system.

Other than that I dont know of anything you can do to test those Eaton transaxles. Lookin at around $1250 for a new one.
