if flat 100, mostly flat 125, if hilly i would have to see it to give you a estimate.

Weekly cut $75 to $80. That would be considered top money in my neck of the woods. But then again the average income for a working stiff is only $17.000 per year in my area with most people on some type of transfer payment.

~ $100.00

well, i have one account that is 1.27 acres and it brings $70 per cut, so i'd have to say about $140 for your 2.5.

I charge $65 per cut sight unseen. After I have been out to look at the property, I will adjust price if need be.

I usually charge $60.00 per acre. Thats what I start with. Since theres 2 acres adjoining each other, I would consider a discount. Like maybe the whole thing for the price of 2 acres. ($120.00)Unless there is excessive trimming or any extras. I honestly don't know how some of you guys make it just charging only 65 for 2 acres?
Hope this helps anyway.:blob2:

How long will it takes you to mow 2.5 acres with 52 inches turf tracer?

an acre in 20 mins? hope you have a sulky/velke! that or you are a good sprinter! sounds pretty good to me, unless there is a ton of stuff to trim (ditches, bed, etc...) i don't see it taking that long to trim and blow. i'd think you could have that part and blowing knocked out in a half hour easily.

It's all a matter of time. You say that you can mow an acre in 20 minutes ( whew that's fast!). Then it should take you 50 minutes to mow 2.5 acres. You estimate 1 hour to trim etc. That's 110 minutes total. My minimum would be 110.00 for the job. On some larger properties, I have given the client my mowing labor rate, and asked them to let me mow it to see how long it will take. I give them a ballpark estimate and mow it as efficiently as I can. Sometimes it's cheaper than my estimate. Clients love that!

20 minutes per acre? I say... no way unless your acres are smaller than they are around here.

Did you "bidded" ;) on these as one.. or is it two bids?

I was thinking the same thing. If only someone could develope a system to measure an acre. Then we would know if it is a small acre or a big acre. This system could be based on a square foot measurement or something like that. Because, as everyone knows, it takes a lot less time to mow a small acre, than it does to cut a big acre. Hey, I just thought of something. If someone could come up with a reliable system to measure an acre, real estate agents could benefit from this break thru in technology as well.

thanks for the input .I measured th length x width but i didn't subtract the homes.it was 340x320=108800/43k+2.53acres.now what do you mean (big an small acres?)

if the chatt market is anything like the nash market, she probably wont be calling you back at 85 an acre. ive got one thats 2.75 acres with two houses on it that takes me 2 1/2 hours to mow edge trim blow for 115, so you should be alright with 100 on 2.5. no way i'd do it for 65 though!

The fact of the matter is that if he does get the job, just how
long do you think that it will take the customer to figure out that they have been taking advantage of? It just gives the whole industy a bad name. But on the other hand, if he does not get the job (which unless the customer has a brain disorder he will not) hopefully we will not hear how some scrub, low baller-retired golfer who fishers on the weedends under bid and can not stay in business at them there low prices.

Glad you got the job! $150 is a decent price... You did not mention the two week factor.

Come back and let us know how long it takes you..

My prediction is: 2.75 hours

Yea, typically I can cut 10%-20% off initial mowing time. I don't shortcut, but rather learn how to work the yard more effiecenlty

congrats, lee. that price is right on. when i suggested 100 that was assuming weekly cutting, for two week cutting i generally charge 1 1/2 times the weekly rate, so you're getting a pretty fair price.

19.99 for EVERY lawn.
$10.00 per minute to trim
I walk slow but mow fast!!
;)

Just kidding. Does this lawn grow slow? I am just wondering about the every 2 weeks. Is it fertilized? If it doesn't grow fast , you should be OK but almost all of my lawns would cause me great pain and agony if I had to cut every 2 weeks.
