Long time visitor first time poster. My name is Ken and this is what I would like to know.Does my machine have the HD wheel motors or the old style, does it have the updated xr7 deck or old style. Does it have the pumps that had issues and do all z mower pump actuator arms sit different on opposite pumps preventing you from syncronizing the drive levers. This mower model # is 927749 and the id# is 06060917. I sure could use this info to decide weather to keep this mower ,11.5 hours ,or dump it and purchase something else.
Thanks, Ken

Your unit is a Super Z, it is not a HT model with the high torque wheel motors.
Your unit as long as it was purchased in GA, is a A deck XR-7 deck, no updates for this deck, the deck with the updates is the B deck for the northern grasses.
I am confused about what your saying about actuators? your unit has steering dampeners, they dont do anything in regards to syncing your drive, your drive linkage is separately adjusted.
Your unit is a 2006 model with super low hours I wouldn't be thinking of parting with it.

Thanks for the reply.I am now confused, the hustler website list the 927749 manual for a hustler z and this machine is a z,small pumps and no hydro coolers.
There is a thread on here somewhere that is in reference to blown wheel motors on z models around my production date. You had replied in that thread that Hustler made a running change,I think, and started using a different motor to address that issue. The deck question is because the mulch kit for my mower and a mid 07 mower are 2 different kits, been there done that, what was changed in mid 07 on the 54" xr7 deck? The deal on the pump arms has to be adjusted at the drive handle. I know how this system works and I will be able to adjust it properly. My son and I purchased this mower on 9/11, he is a first responder in fire and rescue work,we did this to try to start a lawn service for his off time.I also purchased him a trimstar the week before. Before we made the choice on this ztr I spoke with the tech in the hustler factory,John C.with Southeastern Turf, the distributor in GA and my dealer and they all 3 assured me that the only difference in this machine and a new one was"the numbers on the ID sticker". This unit is brand new from a group of 05,06,07,08 units my dealer purchased when another distributor went under in SC I was told. We got a deal on this unit but if it might have the wheel motor issue that makes it a bad deal.We turned down a deal on an 08 scag 2352 T Cub 1013.00 more. That would have put me in a 2 year newer unit which is fair enough and a scag out the door for 7800.00 is a deal weather you like the machine or not. We chose the Hustler for a few reasons #1-Smoothness of the drive system #2-Ease of deck height adjustment #3-Build quality and the fact that you were on here to respond to owners. I would love to know what I really own. If you could look into the wheel motor change I read about on here and let me know I would be greatful. Thanks Ken

Sorry, my mistake, for some reason I didn't look at the right model #.
You are correct of course, it is a Hustler Z.
I am not aware of blown wheel motors on the Hustler Z series, do you have a link to the post?
The mulch kit for the 2006 model XR-7 was special due to the free flow baffles in the rear of the deck, these were not on the 2007 and newer models.
Again, your deck doesn't have any updates for the region you are in, it will cut fine, no complaints from anywhere south of the transition zone.
The information you have is correct in regards to the unit being the same as the new units.
