I know these are all the same machines i was just wonder on getting parts from each company. Say If i had to replace even simple parts that wear out or break. Can i go to a tak dealer to get then for my gehl or vise versa. I am looking at ctl 55 same as a tl120 is the ride really that bad as was mentioned in the other discusion on the tl120? It is a really good deal and a perfect new machine for me.
thanks

The ride issue depends what you are use to. I thought it was too rough but then I am use to having suspension. You have to try it out to determine for yourself. They are reliable machines.

There was a boat load of these that went through Iron Planet last Thurs and more on this next auction I believe. They are brand new.

It is all relative.
I own a TL140 and the ride is rough on hard bumpy surfaces.
Normally you are on softer surfaces so the ride is not that bad.
In fill dirt and mud it is smooth as silk.

You can go to either dealer for the parts, just check with them on prices, our local Deere dealer is lower priced on parts than Hitachi, but Deere is 2 times slower in ordering and giving you a call back on prices.

As far as ride comfort, the type of tracks you use make a big difference, OEM tracks are rougher, but if you use Bobcat or Mclaren tracks, they will ride smoother, but they might wear out faster where the rollers ride.

This video explains their track set up better right at 2:20, that's where the rougher ride comes from:

The parts are universal. I get parts from who ever is the cheapest or the fastest.

That's a dealer issue Ron. They get the parts out of the same warehouse through Deere. Deere is the Hitachi distributer in North America.
