Hey guys, i'm looking at getting a new truck even though I just got this one, lol. I recently had back surgery and need a little better support that the bench seat offered in this truck. It has about 70,6XX miles. Manual windows and locks, no cruise, it has AC, its a base truck but the wheels are shiny. The previous owner also upgraded it with a pioneer cd player. It has the tow package, a plastic bedliner, and meyer 7.5 poly blade with e-60 pump. Auto transmission. KBB puts it at $19,630 private party in good condition. I know that can't be relied on though, so let me know what you guys think its worth, thanks.

Thats WAYYYYYYYY high if you ask me. I know the Ford comes with a plow, but My step-dad just bout a 06 Dodge 3500 4 door SRW Cummins, 27k miles, for right around the same price.

i thought it was a bit high too but i swear thats what KBB has, i didnt even look at the suggested retail price. I would just like to know what I can get out of it.

I have had the same problem with KBB in the past. As a seller, the prices are good, a but as a buyer they seem a tad steep. I would use it as a starting price point, and maybe keep the plow, or sell it separate. You never what what people will want.

Sorry I get 19,840 but seeing how it's not that big of a deal just sell it however you usually do.

It looks like a nice clean truck, just start where you think the truck is worth to you and see what it fetches, you just never know, at least it is a diesel so it holds value well, other than that you have to see what the demand for that type of truck is in your area, and what comparable trucks are selling for locally in your area, good luck with the sale

Fair offer for a six year old base model truck.

here they would throw a plow on it and ask 22000 for it. i think 16-17k is a great price. Diesels really hold their value.

Depends on the market and the truck. I can't sell my 2003 Chevy 3500 diesel 4x4 for $2500 so it's going to the junkyard tomorrow.

thats a nice truck but i dont even understand why they even offer manual windows or locks anymore.... and there are a few lots here that sell lariat crew cab editions of that truck for less that. i have a ford diesel and know they are awesome trucks but in my area that wouldn't cut it. theres actually a lot selling an 06 lariat crew cab diesel dually with 90k miles for 16500 here....

Tow truck hauled her off 4 hours ago buddy. She had 480K+ on her and a blown transmission. She's taking a ride in the crusher and a cruise to China. She'll be coming soon to a Wal Mart near you as a lead painted childs toy.

Snooze you lose.

maybe you should have told the whole story, i don't know why nobody will buy it, it just needs a new transmission and has almost 500k miles??

you apparently need to do a search for "diesel engine"

No offense but $11k is probably pretty realistic.

my local dealer will give me 13,500, so I don't think 11K would be too much

Well she needed a transmission, tires, brakes, and some other stuff. Probably a motor within 30K I imagine. She was pretty worn out. Thought she'd make a decent farm truck though, no takers in a year of trying to sell her as is where is.

Not a typo. When my company was bigger we used that truck for everything.

During the big winter storm of 05 she didn't get shut off for about 16 days. Ran 3 shifts of drivers to help keep the county road open to Kendrick.

Everybody is saying that is a steep price. Sorry but thats a dang good price for it. That engine isnt even broke in yet. and it comes with a plow. If i were you i would post that on craigslist for a little more.

The plow adds value but not enough to cover the fact that it is a plow truck. IMO

My friends truck is a gas chevy and its been a plow truck since it was made and its got over 100,000 on it and it runs great. So if thats a diesel ya the truck might be beat up but the engine is fine in it and i bet everything else is fine too. So i would say you are asking about the right amount.

do you have any idea how much more a diesel engine weighs over a gas. and how much more strain plowing puts on a cheap ford front axle. front hub bearings are $1000 a set, and ball joints are $1000 too. im guessing they are original and near the end of their life. sway bar links are $300 a set installed.......

You have to see what that truck is going for locally. If it were me I'd take the plow off and sell it separately, cuz that hurts the value.

You need to find a cheaper place to buy bearings and ball joints. :(
